Chris Dubiel is an experienced media professional, currently working for the Chicago Wolves as a public address announcer. During the 2024-25 season, he surpassed 200 regular season games announced for the Wolves. In addition to his role as PA announcer, Chris has conducted interviews for the team’s Post Game Sound on social media and filled in as play-by-play broadcaster.
Chris also works for the Chicago Blackhawks, serving as an alternate public address announcer for select games. He made his NHL debut on April 3, 2022 – the same night the Blackhawks honored Jonathan Toews for 1,000 games played.
His public address announcing background includes working for the Chicago Steel of the USHL, Joliet Slammers baseball team, 2024 Illinois High School Hockey State Championships, 2024 ACHA Chicago Classic and the 2019 ACHA National Championships.
Beyond his PA announcing talents, Chris has an extensive background in play-by-play. He has been working with J&M Media since the 2022-23 season, providing play-by-play, color commentary and rink-side reporting for Chicago-area high school and college hockey broadcasts. Some of Chris’s work with J&M Media has appeared on Marquee Sports Network.
Previously, Chris worked in the production department for five years at The Cube – a live streaming platform dedicated to high school sports. He called the play-by-play for more than 400 live events, including Chicago area high school football, basketball, hockey, volleyball, baseball, softball, wrestling and soccer. High profile events such as the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, Jordan Brand Classic, Slam Dunk to the Beach, IHSA State Playoffs and Illinois State Hockey Championships headline his many broadcasting assignments.
When he wasn’t calling high school sports, Chris served as the play-by-play announcer for the NA3HL’s Chicago Junior Bulldogs for seven seasons, broadcasting all of the team’s home games.
